Here is another account of life for a typical coffee farmer. World coffee prices have now become so low that the farmers are basically unable to afford to feed their own children! Syndicated farmers dealing with fair trade organisations get a much better deal.

I just got given a Sony Ericsson T68 phone (thanks Rob), which has all the features I need and many I don't - such as extreme personalisation! Themes editors and background pictures? Show me the GPRS and bluetooth stuff smile

Overclocking XScale Pocket PCs

There's a number of utilities now available for Intel XScale based Pocket PC devices which allow you to alter the clock frequency of the CPU. There is some discussion as to whether this is actually overclocking, as the XScale chip seems to have been designed with the ability to simply switch speeds.

Thin, bright displays

Here are a couple of pictures from the recent CES show, in which Sharp Electronics show a 12 inch OLED display. It appears to be incredibly thin (to the point of making LCD screens look bulky) bright and have a rapid response.
